This research project is a secondary data analysis using research collected by The Sensory Experiences Project1 (SEP) (PI, Dr. Grace Baranek). Current literature states a clear relationship between parent stress levels and whether or not a child has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)4. This study aimed to understand the ways in which sensory experiences associated with ASD influence parent expressions of strain through direct comparison of parents with identified high and low caregiver strain values.
