- Abstract
- The cultural industries and policies of France are undergoing major changes due to increased globalization and Americanization of markets since the end of World War II. The trade related audiovisual policies France acribes can be seen as ineffective. What causes this I asserts is a combination cultural path dependancy and the growing need to react to global pressures. As it turns out the policies of France are motivated by both stated and unstated goals, rendering the policies unable to meet expectations. It is expected that until an alteration of goals or policies is made France will continue to experience poor performance regarding its trade related audiovisual policies.
