Abstract
  • This study assessed how changes in BMI affected incident hypertension rates in Chinese adults. Data used was from the China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS), using samples from many provinces across China. Survival plots were generated to assess temporality of the outcome with respect to exposure. The results show that BMI grouping upon entry into the study was most effective at predicting whether the subject would develop hypertension.
