- Abstract
- In the past, brain injuries were modeled using head acceleration. However, this is only an indirect relation to the brain tissue. We aim to measure brain motion more directly and accurately. New innovation in ultrasound scanning is a vital key to producing accurate models. In this study, we aim to accurately position an ultrasound transducer with six degrees of freedom ABB IRB 120 robot arm. The overall goal of this method is to produce 3D vectorial maps of brain displacement through time (ie 7 dimensions total). This will allow us to characterize the propagation of shear shock waves in the brain and to establish.
