  • This paper reports on a test of the effectiveness of the Reist Wilson Mars (RWM) program to calculate scattering efficiency values of particulate matter formed from chemical reactions in the atmosphere. The test of the program was done in a two level approach taking into consideration the relationship between simulation, theory, and experimental work as described in the methodology section. The first level was designed as an exhaustive test and only after the program satisfied the requirements of this initial test was the second level attempted which was called a crucial test.
