Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to develop a selection tool and annotated bibliography of collective biographies of women written for children. This paper provides a research basefor and rationale of an online resource that librarians may use to support children in their research of women throughout history. The tool may also be used to support collectiondevelopment. The website invites librarians to submit completed schema for collective biographies outside the scope of this project. Included within this paper are the elements of this master’s project: the descriptive schema, directions for its use, the coding scheme used within the schema, and guidelines for evaluating text for problematic representation.
