https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jn-W9l7Jp9Y&feature=youtu.be This is our Video. It is a short movie about the parody of a movie called "El Norte". We chose to relate the movie to our lives at UNC. Instead of Arturo dying, we plan to first have Enrique actually save him and bring him back. Frat parties are usually violent because there are drugs involved, there are often many fights, and discrimination based upon race. Because Frat parties are full of violence, the whole group flees the North to go to South Campus, in search of a safer environment. During their journey, they face a lot of hardships and struggles, which will be described in detail in the draft. Our movie relates to the course themes stated in IDST190 because it hits the idea of leaving one’s own country to find somewhere where they will be able to belong. It also hits the notion of bodies due to the many people they meet throughout their journey and the relationship the siblings have with each other.
