- Abstract
- Each year, the Association of Library and Information Science Education (ALISE) publishes the ALISE Statistical Report. The report contains statistical information on library and information science programs that are accredited by the American Library Association (ALA). The current process for collecting and compiling statistical data from schools involves many manual tasks. Among these are paper questionnaire submission via standard mail, input of data into several databases for archiving purposes, and compilation of statistics by individual authors of the report's five chapters. This project involved the development of a relational database to store statistical data collected by ALISE, as well as the design of an online prototype to model future submission of data by schools.
