- Abstract
- This study compares the goals of users and IT staff in one organization. The organization used in the study, the Kenan-Flagler Business School, is a highly respected institution that uses technology in every day classroom settings. All 266 faculty and staff members were invited to take a web survey designed to analyze their thoughts on the school's goals, policies, and group membership. The study showed that there is no statistical difference in the perception of organizational goals between users and IT staff, but there were other relationships discovered that may affect goal perceptions such as department membership, years of employment, and employment type.
