Women made a place for themselves at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill through their social activities. Upon first arrival at the university, women had no dormitory, extracurricular opportunity, and very few privileges beyond attending class. Throughout the first half of the twentieth-century, female students at UNC engaged in a myriad of social activities that helped them become a more integral part of campus life.
