- Abstract
- This study contains the description of how to use the contingent valuation methodology for obtaining the willingness-to- pay information for planning the cost recovery system of a community water supply in Guatemala. An analysis was made to identify the weaknesses and strengths of the willingness-to-pay study for this case. Based on this analysis, recommendations were made on how to improve and extend these studies to obtain the information needed for improved planning.
