Abstract
  • Rapid population growth and urbanization in Durham County threaten the open space necessary to maintain the overall landscape and the quality of life. Farsighted government officials and concerned citizens recognized the need to preserve open space, and thus created the Durham County Open Space/Greenway Plan. The following article discusses the development of this plan.
