Abstract
  • College Health wrestles with complex issues including personal violence and suicide. Single focus attempts to remedy the behavior leading to suicide have failed to significantly improve the situation. College health can borrow a model from public health, the social ecological model, to coordinate multilevel programs and interventions. The history of both college health and public health illuminate the origin of present day health care policies, laws, and traditions.
