Objective: The health sciences library is involved in outreach projects with diverse communities, organization and other academic entities. In exploring other outreach opportunities, we realized that there was potential for collaborating with community colleges in our area. Therefore, we decided to pursue collaboration opportunities with two community colleges in our area. The proposed project is in response to the health information needs identified in survey results from faculty and students at two different community colleges. Based on these results, the researchers will create an interactive tutorial in collaboration with the Institute on Aging, health sciences library, and the two community colleges participating in the surveys. Methods: A health sciences librarian conducted in person interviews with librarians and faculty of two community colleges. Then she created two separate surveys, one for the faculty and one for the students, to learn more about their health information needs and see how we could meet the health information needs found in the survey results. Surveys were sent to faculty to distribute to their students both in print and electronic format with consent forms. Results: To follow since we are still collecting surveys. Conclusions: To follow since we are waiting for more surveys to analyze and make conclusions.
